Now more than ever, it’s easy for worship leaders to compare themselves. Especially when we see so many other worship leaders touring, making albums, leading from a larger platform . . . we even have celebrity worship leaders!
In episode 77, we are joined by worship leader Katelyn Hill from Journey Church in Franklin, TN, to talk about breaking the vicious cycle of comparison in the church.
Even when you feel unseen and overshadowed, never let your identity ever be diminished because another person’s success looks different than your own.
“I think God has given me the opportunity to cheer on worship leaders who are called to be more in the public eye and cheer them on. In parts of my story, I’m tempted to feel left out, or less effective, but I’ve found such richness in my specific and unique calling. He’s really been teaching me that everybody’s assignments in the Kingdom are diverse and don’t have to look the same.” – Katelyn Hill
