About UPPERROOM

UPPERROOM is a dynamic and passionate collective of over 100 musicians in Dallas. Founded in 2010 in Dallas, Texas, UPPERROOM was born out of a desire to capture the spontaneous songs that flowed during daily worship sessions in their church’s prayer room. This vibrant community has since become known for its unique blend of heartfelt worship and creative musical expression! Everything they do is centered on encountering the manifest presence of God.

Early Beginnings

From the start, UPPERROOM’s mission was to lead people into deep encounters with God through worship. They first gained widespread attention in 2017 with their viral videos for songs like “The Joy of Surrender,” “Tremble,” and “Our Father.” The group’s powerful worship anthems resonated with congregations around the world.

UPPERROOM’s Releases

UPPERROOM continued to release music that touched hearts and transformed lives. Their 2019 EP Moments: Color 003, a collection of highlights from their prayer room sessions, soared to No. 2 on the iTunes Christian & Gospel Albums chart. That same year, UPPERROOM released their first full-length album, To the One, featuring powerful songs by worship leaders Meredith Mauldin and Joel Figueroa. Their music, which captures the essence of their live worship experience, has become a beacon for those seeking an authentic encounter with God.

Expanding Their Reach and Influence

As their influence grew, UPPERROOM expanded beyond Dallas, establishing a second church in Denver, Colorado. In 2020, they released their first Spanish-language album, Santo Espiritu (Te Amamos), bringing translated versions of popular UPPERROOM songs to a wider audience. Their commitment to creating worship music that transcends language and culture has made them a vital part of the global Christian music community.

Continuing the Journey

UPPERROOM’s dedication to worship and prayer has remained steadfast throughout the years. The UPPERROOM Dallas prayer room hosts over 75 hours of live prayer and worship every week. The prayer room’s supported by a committed team of 160+ volunteer musicians, singers, and prayer leaders. This rhythm of life continues to shape and inspire the music that UPPERROOM produces.

A Legacy of Worship

UPPERROOM is not just a band! They’re a community that pursues the heart of God with unwavering passion. Their music is birthed out of a lifestyle of prayer and worship, a lifestyle that transforms them and equips the body of Christ to express their hearts to God in new and profound ways. UPPERROOM’s legacy is one of authentic worship, deep connection, and a relentless pursuit of God’s presence, making them a guiding light for worship teams and believers around the world.
