Holly Brand: What Worship Leaders Forget on Stage

Listen & Watch This Episode

Holly Brand

When you step onto the platform, it is easy to think about the setlist, the key changes, the vocal parts, the transitions, and whether the moment is landing. And of course we focus on Jesus.

But what if we miss this very important thing? Everybody in the room is carrying something.

In this episode of the Worship Online Podcast, Holly Brand shares her story of growing up in Mississippi, competing as Miss Mississippi, joining Team Kelly on The Voice, and now writing Christian music that is connecting with people in deeply personal ways. She talks about comparison, identity, and the difference between performing for people and worshiping before God.

This conversation is a powerful reminder that worship leaders are not just leading songs. They are helping people encounter Jesus in the middle of real pain, real questions, and real life.

Listen now and be reminded why your leadership matters.

About Holly Brand

Holly Brand grew up in Meridian, Mississippi, surrounded by music and ministry. Her journey has included pageantry, national television, worship leading, and songwriting, with major moments including Miss Mississippi and The Voice.

Holly’s story includes a powerful transformation from not wanting to be involved in church to encountering Jesus through worship as a teenager. That personal history shapes the way she thinks about music, ministry, and reaching people who may not yet know God.

Holly is now pursuing Christian music and releasing songs that combine honest storytelling with gospel hope. Her single “I Know Somebody” is impacting listeners through its message that everyone knows someone who is struggling, and we also know the One who sees, restores, and works all things together.
