Keith Elgin
You sound great on Sunday, but is your team actually healthy? You’ve probably felt it before. So has Keith Elgin.
Sunday afternoon hits and instead of feeling energized, you’re frustrated. Something didn’t go the way you planned. Someone didn’t show up prepared. A transition fell apart. And now you can’t stop replaying it. Sunday bleeds into Monday. Monday into Tuesday. One rough service and your whole week feels off.
If that sounds familiar, you’re not alone.
After 20+ years of leading worship, our new podcast host Keith Elgin hit that same wall. And what he discovered on the other side completely transformed how he leads, how he builds teams, and how he thinks about worship ministry. In this episode, Keith shares what finally broke the cycle for him, the framework he now uses to build healthy teams, and the hard lessons he learned so you don’t have to.
If you’ve ever:
- Gone home Sunday afternoon replaying every mistake
- Wondered why your team sounds tight but feels disconnected
- Struggled with burnout, frustration, or questioned whether you’re even cut out for this
This conversation will meet you exactly where you are. Keith isn’t sharing theory. He’s sharing what he learned in the trenches, leading real teams, making real mistakes, and finding a better way forward. This is the conversation every worship leader needs to hear.
About Keith Elgin
Keith Elgin is a worship pastor, songwriter, and coach with over two decades of experience serving the local church. He is known for blending pastoral leadership with musical excellence and for helping worship leaders and teams grow spiritually, relationally, and practically. Whether on a platform or behind the scenes, Keith leads with authenticity, clarity, and a deep love for the Church.
Ministry Experience and Influence
Throughout his ministry, Keith has led worship in churches and events around the world. He has shared stages with influential worship movements and artists including Elevation Worship, Maverick City Music, and Chris Tomlin, while remaining deeply rooted in the local church. His leadership experience spans weekly services, conferences, worship nights, and moments of pastoral care such as funerals and prayer gatherings. These experiences have shaped his conviction that worship leaders are both followers of the Holy Spirit and leaders of people. He is currently Worship Pastor at Alive Church, a multi-site multi-state church.
Creative Work and Songwriting
As a songwriter and artist, Keith writes from lived experience, faith, and honest reflection. His music often explores the tension between the present moment and the hope of eternity. Rather than chasing trends, he prioritizes songs that serve congregations and support the spiritual life of the Church. His creative process is deeply connected to personal worship and spiritual disciplines, allowing what happens in private to overflow publicly.
Coaching and 360 Worship
Keith is the founder of 360 Worship, a coaching and training platform designed to help worship leaders grow off the platform so what happens on the platform is healthy and sustainable. His framework emphasizes that worship is not confined to a stage, but encompasses all of life. Through coaching, courses, and resources, Keith equips leaders to build healthy teams, establish clear rhythms, and lead with spiritual depth.
Philosophy and Leadership Approach
At the core of Keith’s leadership is the belief that who you are shapes how you lead. He teaches that strong worship culture is built on trust, clarity, and presence, not just talent. Keith is passionate about mentoring the next generation of worship leaders and believes spiritual formation is just as important as musical ability. His approach balances structure with sensitivity to the Holy Spirit, allowing space for both preparation and spontaneity.
Ongoing Work and Vision
Keith continues to serve the Church through worship leading, songwriting, podcasting, and coaching. He is committed to raising up emotionally healthy, Spirit-led worship leaders who can lead with confidence and humility. His work consistently points back to identity, transformation, and long-term faithfulness. Above all, Keith remains focused on helping people see Jesus more clearly through worship that is honest, grounded, and alive.
